Our Story

Creating opportunities. Building confidence. Changing lives through watersports.

our mission

More Than a Day on the Water

The Drifter Project began with a simple belief: everyone deserves the opportunity to experience the freedom, confidence, and joy that comes from being on the water.

For many people, physical disabilities, financial challenges, or limited access to adaptive equipment create barriers that prevent them from participating in watersports.

We exist to help remove those barriers and create opportunities for individuals to discover the confidence, independence, and community that watersports can provide.

Our Mission

Freedom Changes Lives

The Drifter Project was created to help more people experience the confidence, connection, and freedom that watersports can bring.

Through adaptive coaching, community events, and meaningful partnerships, the project creates opportunities for individuals facing physical and mental health challenges to get on the water and discover what’s possible.

  • Adaptive Watersports

Providing opportunities to experience the freedom of the water.

  • Equipment Access

Helping participants access specialist adaptive equipment.

  • Community Support

Building an inclusive and supportive watersports community.

Looking Ahead

Our vision is simple: a future where adaptive watersports opportunities are accessible to anyone who wants to experience them.

Through partnerships, volunteers, fundraising, and community support, we aim to create sustainable programs that continue changing lives for years to come.
